Nah, I meant to say that was the actual name and image on the disc label. I don't know about the casing because the copy I used was missing it.

I think they just updated the packaging, disk artwork and the demos. "Freddi Fish 1" did not have the game files updated and any possible bugs fixed until 1998. "Putt-Putt" also had the game files updated in 1999.

Re: Game Rereleases
I hope the 1996 release of Zoo didn't have that Game Breaking Bug, which causes the raft to disappear, so you can't go back to where you where before!

Found an interesting looking re-release of Pajama Sam 3 while googling HE info.

Wow, I didn't know they expanded it to Pajama Sam.

Re: Game Rereleases
Infogrammes bought up GT Interactive (who owned Humongous) and Hasbro in the early 2000s. Aren't legal issues FUN?

Indeed, as Mr. Eight-Three-One mentioned, that is a General Mills cereal box issue. Got one of those a long while back and it appears that they used the same masters as those for the retail release as all of the files were last modified February 2000.
I also have a cereal box re-release of Freddi Fish 3, which, funnily enough, has a date of 2001 for most of the files! (except for one data file which is dated 1997... I can't remember which one though)
Re: Game Rereleases
I wonder how many HE games had re-releases. So far we've got:
- Backyard Baseball (original 1997 version)
- Freddi Fish 3
- Pajama Sam 3

Actually, it's the game's HE0, HE1, HE2 and HE4 files that have dates of 1997. All of the other files, including the demos, have a timestamp of April 2001. Wasn't able to remember because I was not home and didn't have the CD with me when I wrote my last message.
Re: Game Rereleases
Hmm, I should check my Backyard Baseball CD and see what the dates on those are. I wonder how long General Mills was doing this for?

Re: Game Rereleases
One interesting note is, I believe General Mills were doing this exclusively in Canada.
Re: Game Rereleases
Incorrect. I live in the USA and my copy came from a local box.

Re: Game Rereleases
Really? Well I stand corrected, since everybody I've seen who owns a cereal box re-release is apparently from Canada.
Re: Game Rereleases
That's alright--it's an understandable mistake. To be fair, my grocery only had them for a few months--not super long--so USA copies could understandably be rarer than Canadian versions.
On the other hand, I'm still curious to see if there were any other HE games in these promotions. Does anyone know the rest or have a list?

Re: Game Rereleases
I never saw a damn game from HE in a cereal box. Only crappy gameshow-licensed games. I do know that I once knew someone who once had the Pajama Sam 3 though. I also know that they included demo (yes demos!) compilations in cereals in Europe.
Re: Game Rereleases
Well to be fair, the only HE game I ever saw personally out of any promotion was that Backyard Baseball game (which I obviously got).
...whoa, demo compilations? Do ya have an example?

Re: Game Rereleases
Ah, didn't realize those were demos. Yeah, I've seen those pics before but I was clearly wrong on what they were.
