Pajama Sam Thunder And Lightning (2012 iOS port) featured in a actual Dummies book!
That “Dummies” book i mentioned in the title is called “iPad Apps for Kids for Dummies”. And since it came out in 2013, the game as featured is the old Nimbus port from 2012. I’ve known this for a while, but anyway, here’s the review as seen in the book:
“Sam is a little pajama-clad boy who is afraid of violent weather. Tried of being scared during a thunderstorm, Sam decides to emulate his hero, Pajama Man, and does a cape to become the superhero Pajama Sam. So starts this adventure game in which your child joins the emboldened Pajama Sam in confronting Thunder and Lightning, two charming old ladies he finds running the World Wide Weather Factory in the sky. When talking to the weather ladies, Sam accidentally messes up the weather machines. Being a good and polite boy, he offers to help repair the machines. Kids adventure through the clouds filled with weather-making machines to find the four missing parts.
Originally a computer game, this game transfers well onto to the iPad. It looks like a Saturday morning cartoon that’s fully interactive. In each scene, you have fascinating gadgets and gizmos to touch; and when you do, they come alive. But it’s the adventuring that makes this game so good for kids. Everywhere Pajama Sam goes, he meets crazy weather characters with whom to talk. If Pajama Sam helps a character with his or her problem - such as finding canned sunshine to feed Sid, the snowflake inspector detector - the character helps Pajama Sam find one of the missing parts. Players also need to use keen observation skills to pick up items in the environment, such as a crowbar or a can of sunshine. You can also find puzzle pieces to collect.
Each adventure takes several hours to complete, but the app saves your progress. And this game is replayable because it has alternative parts to find. Kids will love helping superhero Pajama Sam overcome his fear of thunder and lightning; and perhaps, in the progress, they will learn how to face their own fears.
Best For: Young kids who enjoy going on imaginative adventures. Pajama Sam is one of the best role models for kids because he’s courageous, polite, kind and respectful.”
Give me your thoughts on this!

I’ve decided to take a image of the review as seen in the Dummies book for reference and proof:

The Tommo "direct port" version feels like a emulation more than Nimbus' "screen clicking" ports....

Tommo is an emulation of the original CD-ROM copies which means you're getting nothing new when you purchase it from Tommo. FYI don't purchase their PC versions you're better off buying the CD.
Nimbus Games was actually ported to Mobile (and Zoo later to modern machines) being built off the original source code. The SPUTM containers were built in Marmalade for mobile and the SCUMM engine it self was updated and modified to a modern version.
