Umm, yes. Perhaps you could use my services for a translation.

Who knows! This actually makes two Russian fans I know now! Say, did you grow up in the 90s with the pirates or in the 2000s with the officially licensed ones?

Somewhere in between, but mostly with the piratesGeorgeQGreg wrote:Who knows! This actually makes two Russian fans I know now! Say, did you grow up in the 90s with the pirates or in the 2000s with the officially licensed ones?

Re: HE fangames?
(To pizzaking) In the 90s, various companies, (but mostly Фаргус) made translations of foreign computer games, in lieu of a legal market. Then in the 2000s, Atari officially entered the Russian market through Руссобит-М, and among the games licensed were Humongous'!
Re: HE fangames?
Hey everyone! I've actually been trying to work on the project! So for all who are still interested, check out the proof of concept demo I did. It mostly demonstrates my programming and writing skills, and also an idea I had, to expand on the story, ala the Director's Cut of Broken Sword. (but without all the badly reused art and sound assets)

Just tried it, and I'm liking it so far. Looking at the art though makes me regret refusing to take art classes in middle/high school...
Also, I LOL'd during the "Use" part of the tutorial.

Wow, that's cool! I particularly dig the Guybrush scene. Now we only need a background artist for this. I'd also suggest adding some details to Spy Fox's investigation, just like in BS: Director's Cut. Maybe another N.O.G. building, or some fourth item in addition to the punchcard/key/diode.

Re: HE fangames?
My idea was mostly to flesh out William the Kid's backstory, as he wasn't really a good villain compared to LeRoach or Poodles because of this.
Re: HE fangames?
Would be pretty interesting to see what you'll come up. A childhood trauma or something more complicated? ;D

Re: HE fangames?
That made me laugh really hard
Lemme throw in another couple of ideas:
1) The Volcano path. Perhaps there is a volcano on Acidophilus, and the entrance to Kid's lair is inside its mouth. So you'll have to get inside somehow (possible references to Blood island included).
2) The gem sidequest (some sort of precious ruby, emerald, sapphire, etc. that has to be obtained somehow) - in addition to the punchcard, key and diode.

Re: HE fangames?
I've made a new thread to try to make things more sane. Things about it should be posted there, please and thank you. That's where I'll posting them, so you'll be missing out if you don't! D:

Re: HE fangames?
That doesn't really make sense. Goat milk contains lactose just he same as cow milk. I always sorta assumed William's parents founded N.O.G., but no one would buy their products, and thus could barely make ends meet. When William came of age, he eventually got the company out of debt through *ahem* questionable methods.GeorgeQGreg wrote:I was thinking that Willy is lactose intolerant.

Derp. I never said I was a biology professor...
Edit: Hmm...

Unlike cow's milk there is no need to homogenize goat's milk. While the fat globules in cow's milk tend to separate to the surface, the globules in goat's milk are much smaller and will remain suspended in solution. When individuals have sensitivity to cow's milk, goat's milk can sometimes be used as an alternative.
Re: HE fangames?
Just got another idea: since Humongous abandoned the idea of a Pajama Man game, this could be made as a fangame ;) Some info from Pajama Sam 4's collectable cards could be used.

Why not?)) We have The Adventures of Fatman and Super Jazz Man.

Re: HE fangames?
Don't know about Jizz Man, but Fatman was a parody of sorts, with a superhero who definitely isn't super. No action for him!
Re: HE fangames?
It could be an adventure with action/battle elements, like Quest for Glory or Penny Arcade Adventures. It could also be more mature than the Pajama Sam games. Just imagine all this stuff in an ACTUAL computer game))
