Captain's Quarters? Hmm... sounds like Freddi would have had a 3D pirate adventure. Too bad this fell through the same way Future Dog and all those other HE games did.

That was going to be on Cavedog, and was in fact the first game in a long time to be actually created by Ron Gilbert (instead of being produced by him). Unfortunately, production on the game was shut down along with the rest of the Cavedog division. Most of the workers there moved to Humongous proper after the closing (Adrian Bourne was one of them).

Could that have been the source of that horrific Dutch CGI? O_O

That website also has a 3D Pajama Sam, along with several Backyard Sports models which were used for Skateboarding.

Well I for one am very scared.

Spy Fox's eyes look too off-model. The rest of him is fine imo.

It's not as interesting as the others because it was actually used in a finished game. (A horrid one, at that.)

Now all we need are 3D models of Putt-Putt and Pep and we've got the main HE cast covered in 3D. :P

Those are probably the best of the 3D models--I think they did a good job staying true to the original 2D unlike Pajama DerpSam.

Anyone think these models or models based off of these might've been part of the unfinished Freddi Fish 6?

This is certainly an interesting find. A What Could Have Been at its finest. I guess Lara Schneider was right about Backyard Sports going 3D this early on.

I'd pay big money for new entries in the series, provided they stuck to traditional 2D animation rather than trying to modernize the graphics. And provided whoever makes them doesn't make the mistakes Atari made, especially with the voice cast.

I'm beginning to be thankful for the lack of detail in the early 3D Backyard games. If those PJ Sam and Spy Fox models are any indication, they would have looked really creepy.
