Dairy Queen promotion
I just found a listing on eBay that has a collection of Happy Meal-like toys from Dairy Queen, all licensed Humongous products.
According to the listing, these came out around 2001 and consisted of a Putt-Putt pullback car, a Freddi Fish water squirter, some sort of pull-string Pajama Sam toy, a Spy Fox airplane "whirlybird", a PJ Sam wind up skill game, and a Freddi Fish blow up raft with a conch shell.
Did anyone ever get a hold of these? I can't remember ever hearing about this promotion, but I didn't go to DQ as often as I would have liked to back then.

I'd probably get it if there was the option to buy it now. Still, that looks really cool! I didn't even know there was such a thing as Dairy Queen in 2001, but I'd probably have loved those toys!

Re: Dairy Queen promotion
...yes, I did. No, I'm serious, I actually went to Dairy Queen when they promoted these. I was very lucky when I did -- back then I went to Dairy Queen very rarely. I recall this was when I was on vacation, I believe in 2001. Since we only went there once, and with my sister, I only ever saw two of the toys. I had the Spy Fox whirlybird and my sister had the raft, which behaved sort of like a chalkboard. You'd write on it with the conch shell, and lift up the sheet when you wanted to erase. It's more painful to draw than it sounds though, since you commonly get air bubbles trapped under there. Never saw the others, sadly. Before you ask, no I do not have them anymore. I gave away all my kids meal toys during moving day, the same dreaded day I put my computer game collection beyond repair.
Still, I'd like to see these again, and see the ones I missed out on. Also, I find it heavily ironic that this is the same year Humongous really began "collapsing".

Good, although I can't see Pajama Sam very well. All I can see is the wadrobe that came with him...
Re: Dairy Queen promotion
I still have all of them. If anyone's really interested in them, I suppose I could post pictures.
