No Animations FTW!
According to legoking831's 486 Computer videos, if your processor\videocard is not perfect, the Humongous games will disable animations. For example, in Pajama Sam in Thunder and Lightning aren't so Frightening, the rain doesn't fall from the clouds and Lightning doesn't move when she controls the weather. Well, today, I played the Lion King Activity Centre, and the exact same problem happens. The Disney Technical Support website says that this game doesn't run on Windows XP because it just quits to the desktop. It DOES run on Windows XP, but one thing's for sure, the animations don't play. There is, actually one animation in the Elephant Graveyard maze, but that's the only animation in the game. Some games are dull and lifelessly easy, whilst others are completely unplayable. I can't even believe that I have this problem! At least I've got a good videocard, unlike Trident, or that EVIL HERCULES! Oh god, this is just ridiculous. At least the FMVs in the Magic Pool work fine, but I'm pretty sure they're poor quality again. I'll just post some screenshots about this glitch. The words in them tell all:
Re: No Animations FTW!
Wow, that's very odd.
Have you tried running the game in a virtual machine? Playing it in something similar to it's original kind of environment might help I think.

I tried running LEGO Island on one, but it seemed to be too much of a hasssle...

It is a hassle
Re: No Animations FTW!
3D games are extremely difficult to run on most virtual machines. 2D games, on the other hand, work just fine most of the time. If your game is for Windows 95/98, try running it in Virtual PC or a similar program.

Will Compatibility Mode work?
Re: No Animations FTW!
Hercules' cards are actually considered some of the best 2D cards from the 90s. Especially the ET4000. Don't knock them, man!

YEAH RIGHT! There have been reports about Stunt Rally not running with a Dynamite.
Re: No Animations FTW!
Sometimes the ET4000 didn't co-operate too well with Windows, yes. But it KICKED ASS in DOS!
Re: No Animations FTW!
Why would you even want to run Stunt Rally at all?
By the way, as it turns out, it only checks your video card for the Slow Machine Mode and nothing else. The combination of a horrible processor and a fantastic video card are extremely slim, so it makes sense.

It maybe good for Putt-Putt Joins the Parade, but if you ask me, WHO CARES?!
Re: No Animations FTW!
Did you really just ask that? I'd like to let you know LOTS of people love DOS. It's still got an active fanbase. Why else would DOSBox and Abandonia exist?

The Disney games have a SLOW MACHINE MODE LIKE HUMONGOUS GAMES?!?! And I'm glad you remember that mode in Pajama Sam 2 when certain animations won't play!

I find out for that mode in his video.
Re: No Animations FTW!
No, I'm talking about the HE games. I thought your computer just had to suck, but it's only the video card that matters.
