HE characters in AGS game

I was recently playing an AGS game called Adventure - The Inside Job which contains many characters and locations from obscure or unreleased adventure games. In one of the games many rooms that serve no real purpose other than fan service, I noticed Pelican Sam from the Freddi Fish games!

Then later, in the sequel, Adventure - All in the Game, I saw Agent Grace Fully from Some Assembly Required in a similar cameo.

I haven't finished the second game yet, so I'm unsure if there are more, I just thought it was interesting.

Huh... interesting looking game. Question is, how were the graphics extracted from the original games?

Ah, so maybe someone HAS found a way to rip sprites from HE games! Speaking of ripping, how do I rip music from the classics?

You don't. I know how to, but it's an ass arse.

I guess they could have used the printscreen key while playing, pasted it into paint.net (or something similar) and trimmed away the background.
