Save-State Hacking in Baseball

The original game used very simple text to do saving, so you can change just about everything - teams, players, colors, you name it. You can even play as the generic kids! I've used this guide before. It's very complex, and I was having a bit of trouble with it. The best I could manage is getting my team's icon on the clipboard to be a different color! XD I talked with the guy who wrote the guide on Youtube, and he said that the guide is way overdue for an update, so he might put up a new version sometime.

I wonder if he'll make versions for other games?

I have a great understanding of how the guide works. You can save hack the original game, the 2001 and 2003 game. You have to be careful changing the characters of the roster. If you miss a letter the save state will not load. Also tonight I just figured out how to get Mr. Clanky on Backyard Baseball 2001 in season mode. Just replace one member on your team by using notepad and the c0, c1 depending on the number of coaches in the he game directory. The letter combo for Mr. Clanky is QH. Let's say that you have FB or example, you would need to replace both FB's with QH.
