The Edmark Games Empty The Edmark Games

Post by Pizzaking27 Sat Oct 27, 2012 5:40 am

Another videogame company which existed in the war of Humongous vs. Living Books was Edmark, who also used to make videogames for kids.
Edmark was founded in 1992, the same year as Humongous and Living Books being founded, and also made videogames for Windows and Mac, like Humongous and Living Books! They created videogames like Thinkin' Things, Name's X House and Strategy Games of the World.
I used to play some of them at school! Edmark are just like Humongous and Living Books, aren't they?
Now there's only 1 question. Did YOU play any Edmark videogames when you were a kid?
And in case anyone's curious, my favourite Edmark videogame is Thinkin' Things!

I actually have their entire House series on the original CD-ROM, including the rare Trudy's Time and Place House. (Yes really.) I think my favourite is Sammy's Science House.

My elementary school's computer lab had Sammy's Science House in it. I used to have a blast with that and Kid Pix Studio.

These guys made pretty much every game the early grades played at my elementary school before they got rid of the old Macs. I think the first time I played one I freaked out at the teeth on the characters, since I had a weird phase in early Kindergarten where I didn't like cartoon characters showing their teeth when they were normally talking. Thankfully that didn't last long!

The computers at the local library had Thinkin' Things Collection installed on them. Freaking awesome game - would LOVE to play it again.

The only Edmark games I have are the ones about Millie and Bailey, which are "Millie and Bailey Preschool" and Millie and Bailey Kindergarten." I had fun with them when I was a kid.
