My MobyGames series of Backyard Sports game reviews

I haven't been too active on the Internet as of late, but I joined MobyGames ever since it reverted back to the original design and got a new management team. I noticed their review system, and I thought I'd use it to take the time and discuss my thoughts on all of the Backyard Sports games from Baseball to Hockey. Basketball had a bit of issues with its game entry for a while making me unable to review it for some time, so I tided things over by doing a LEGO Island mini-series during that time. Just thought I'd let people know. See it starting with Baseball here.

I mostly did this as a little retrospective on just how successful the series was and to look at the games without rose-tinted nostalgia goggles. I was actually surprised to find how many games in it that I didn't enjoy. Also, word to the wise: if you love Backyard Soccer, you are going to hate me after reading these. Just saying.

Okay...I know this is off-topic for the Junior Sport forum, but...I absolutely LOVE your LEGO Island reviews. Never did I think I'd find someone who could rationally judge all three games, let alone judge them so...accurately. Word for word, I agree on all three accounts. You pointed out a lot of flaws AND strengths I always thought no one else could see, and even some shortcomings I'd been too nostalgic to notice before. Fantastic job.

And that's not to say your Backyard Sports reviews weren't just as good, 831. Those seem spot-on too, judging by my own experiences with them. If I see any of these games come up in discussion in the future, I'll immediately point to your reviews. Thank you SO much for your objectivity.
