I also had the idea of a "Dark & evil" version of Pajama Sam's world. The first game definitely had shades of this since it was dedicated to fighting the children's fears, so I think there could be an alternate verson of PS's universe with monsters, creeps and perhaps even some gore. Maybe something between this and this.
