Have you ever seen the movie Paul? It's about 2 British boys who come face-to-face with an American alien, which makes life difficult for them. In the same movie, the Americnas actually GET REVENGE on those British boys!

Scholastic aren't the only company to take Living Books off Youtube. I've heard on TVTropes that most of the Youtube Poops based on the BBC cartoon Pingu had to be removed by HiT Entertainment (who revamped the show in the mid-2000s), due to the titular character, and his sister, Pinga, being mocked for Dr. Robotnik's PINGAS joke.

Watch this to see what I mean:

This is always awesome to be seeing more 90s games to get put out for modern devices! I wish that company success.

Like seeing Super Mario World on the Virtual Console! (I wonder if LEGO Island is going to be put on the iOS?)

Calm down, Retrodude, calm down! There have been a few videos that have survived this. For example, a playthrough of the Berenstain Bears in the Dark:

Not only did D.W. the Picky Eater have 22khz (AM radio quality) sound, but so did The Cat in the Hat and Arthur's Computer Adventure. Cool stuff, eh?

Pizzaking27 wrote:Just Grandma and me was originally going to be a SNES game, which would port other Living Books to another console. The idea was soon scrapped because the SNES had limitations.
Fun fact: according to further research, Just Grandma and Me was not only released for Windows and Mac, but also for a very little-known system called the Memorex Video Information System (or VIS for short) which was only sold through Radio Shack retailers in the early-mid 90's. This unique version appears to be a rarity that is even harder to find than New Kid on the Block...

Actually, 22khz is more like FM radio quality.

I've heard about the VIS... it's not a good system. I think I heard it was based on the VHS tape standard? That can't be fun for game loading. Maybe I should do my dang research and read wikipedia! It's a CD-based system, and apparently runs a modified Windows 3.1, which probably means this game won't be too interesting. Move along folks, nothing to see here!

There's also a CDi version of Little Monster. (The same system that's home to Hotel Mario.) I've actually got a copy, but unfortunately not a system to play on, as due to those damn Nintendo games, the system is in high demand, and goes for high prices on ebay. (Not so much the non-nintendo based games. :/)

I was just searching the App Store last night to find out that several of the Living Books have been released on mobile devices! I'm thrilled that these and the HE games are being shown to a new generation. I wish there was a better way to search the App Store though. I'd like to know what other old PC games have made their way to mobile platforms.
