Sooo... What Happened?

Just stopped by here for the first time in forever (no pun intended) and I see things are pretty much dead here. What happened?

I've been regularly visiting this forum for over a year now, and this never was the most active of forums, though it did have it's moments and there were weeks where there'd be a fair amount of activity. The forum's "death" kinda happened in August or September, that seemed to be when most of the activity died, the chat box hasn't had an actual conversation since then. I think the reason why is the community, there hasn't been a long-term regular user in a long time, and many regulars have seemed to disappear or haven't visited in a long time, leaving only a handful of regulars. The forum's dead nature is also pretty unwelcoming for new users, they soon discover there are no active topics and have nothing to post. It's really sad considering this is great community and the perfect place for HE fans to come together and talk. I hope that this is just a temporary period of no activity like it has been in the past and that there will be a random burst of activity some day...  

Yeah, I'd hate for the first Humongous Entertainment forum to die...

I've sincerely thought about "donating" this forum to a different administrator. You can really pin a lot of the blame on me -- I haven't done a good job of keeping up with this site ever since high school and college applications swallowed my life whole. I just don't feel like I am dedicated enough to keep up with a site like this.

Also, some of it does stem from the fact that there was a long period were nothing interesting happened, which killed a lot of the activity the forum had.

I know this is a late reply, but that's so sad. You've been dedicated to a lot of the Humongous Entertainment games and stuff, and you were the one who created this site, so it's sad to see you go. GeorgeQGreg is a moderator now.
