Because of course this is something that exists. And raises a LOT of questions! Apparently it's available in French, and probably other languages. (German? UK English? Spanish? Italian? Portuguese? Norwegian? WHO KNOWS! LET'S FIND OUT!)

Interesting. Looks like they may have just taken the original PS2 version and dummied out the pros. Would be interesting to see the diffrent languages in action, too. Too bad I don't have a PS2.

Who's doing the slam duck on the cover then?

Looks like Ricky to me, but this was at the point where they began to redesign the characters to near unrecognizable levels anyway. It got even worse after 2007 though.

Which is why this is so confusing. Atari kept their original infogrames dubbing teams around this long?

That's Ernie Steele doing the dunk on the cover. Trust me, I stuck around quite long after they beat the characters with the redesign stick.
Would this game be common enough that somebody's uploaded an iso somewhere that could be used in a PS2 emulator?
EDIT: eBay UK has several listings for it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0&_nkw=Junior+Sports+Basketball&_sacat=0&_from=R40
I'm guessing that the PS2 has region lock, which will make this a little bit more difficult to play, but I don't know much about the Playstation line.

Emulators, yo. Also half those don't ship to this continent.

Looks like they changed Barry DeJay's first name to Jermaine. Don't they realize that ruins the whole original pun?

Bury the J. Slang term for making a dunk, I think. Wonder if they changed anyone else's names.
