Sharing user created levels?
I'm not very technically mind so I have no idea how feasible this would be, but I would think there might be a way to share files for user created levels in the junior arcades, so that other people who own the game could play them.

Re: Sharing user created levels?
i believe its possible with ScummVM make a Custom game, then save it, then go to the ScummVM Dir folder, then copy the saved game data, and share it (also game needs to be included)
Re: Sharing user created levels?
Save games are legal, I believe. I think there is a "levels" file or so, but the ScummVM route is probably the best way to go.

thank you lego... ...i mean Mr.Eight! i thought so it was legal, and he is right the ScummVM save Game Data holds all of that stuff so just share that

You have Balloon-o-Rama.

Re: Sharing user created levels?
Finally got around to giving this a try. I have linked two files that (I think) will let anyone with a copy of Balloon-O-Rama play a custom level I made. The level itself is very simple, just the word "TEST" spelled out in Balloons. Theoretically, this should work if you put both these files in a folder (I personally just created a folder marked "saves" within the folder with the games files in it). Then, in ScummVM, choose "edit game" on Balloon-O-Rama, choose the "paths" tab, and make the save path the folder where you put these files. If anyone could try this and tell me whether or not it works, that would be appreciated.

Re: Sharing user created levels?
I think there may be some problem with the embedded links in my last post. If that is the case try these urls:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/66187488/levels.bal
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/66187488/names.bal
and if neither of those work, pm me your email address, so I can "share" them with you.
I apologize in advance, I'm an idiot when it comes to things like this.

Re: Sharing user created levels?
Maybe then we could start like a new community or forum section where we share and exchange user created levels... maybe? Just think of the possibilities. We can add download links for levels.pezhead53 wrote:Excellent! Great! I hope there would be a Level Sharing Feature in the future.
