Fatty Bear is the odd one out as Pajama Sam, Putt Putt, Spy Fox and Freddi Fish got multiple sequels. Is there a reason for this or some speculation?

According to the HE alumni page on Facebook, the rights to Fatty Bear belonged to the employee who created the character, so any games with him required paying that person royalties. Furthermore, his name was apparently poorly received.

Both of these factors may also explain why he was never named in his later cameos, except in dummied out content for Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo.

It probably also didn't help that his only games were made when HE was still an obscure startup company, so not many fans of their later titles even knew about him.
