Here's an interesting tidbit. Remember the Junior Adventurer's club that kids could sign up for, which would mail you a monthly newsletter? They apparently had a British equivalent when they were releasing the games in the UK in the early 00's, called the Funstars Club. I found a signup card inside my British edition of Spy Fox 3. Scans will be uploaded as soon as I figure out how to upload it without servimg mangling the pictures.

To answer Retrodude's question, I DO have the UK version of Travels through Time from March 30, 2001. When I tried to download the American version off of Emuparadise, and overwrite the files, it won't let me play the game! Does any of you have any advice on how to run the game with American voice acting?

When the package I sent you arrives, open it up, put the CD in your computer, run the installer and play. Also, don't you not have the UK version anymore... since you sent it to me? *shifty*

GeorgeQGreg wrote:Anyone who's had a good look at the ScummVM website will have noticed that there are UK dubs of some of the games. And they are quite funny!

Anyway, I'm going to throw some info of here for the releases: Firstly, what games were dubbed:

SPY Fox 1
SPY Fox 2
SPY Fox 3
Pajama Sam 2
Pajama Sam 3
Putt-Putt Time
Putt-Putt Race
Putt-Putt Circus
Freddi Fish 3
Freddi Fish 4
Freddi Fish 5

SPY Fox 1 was released in the US by accident. These games mostly come in DVD-style cases. Backyard Soccer was also released as Junior Sports Football, but was nearly unchanged. Footage of many of these can be seen on Obscurenforeign. Hondo has Pajama Sam 2, JuniorAdventurer has Freddi Fish 4. A lot of the Russian translations were based on these versions.

I think Freddi Fish 5 UK Dub exists, but it's super duper rare and has 50 limited copies, according to TV Tropes. Darn.
And do you even think Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo UK Dub is Real?

It would be nice to have a source for these games, I had them in the UK as a kid and wish I had kept them. I'd buy them in a heartbeat if they were included in the steam packs. Are there any other ways to get these games?

Do you know which ones they are now, or are you still uncertain? Just wondering.

I can't even verify UK (or German for that matter) FF5 was ever even released. If you find a copy make sure to share it!

I know recently, I added a bunch more games to my Steam account via some Humble keys I had been neglecting. I made a list of which games I have did and didn't have UK dubs, but I forget where I posted it. (Probably buried on mastodon...)

The only thing I know about the UK dubs of the Humongous games, is how surprisingly bad, but yet extremely entertaining to listen through. Much like Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog tier.
